I took a spontaneous trip to FINALLY see the christmas tree and festive areas of the city. I was originally thinking of taking my son since he would have been intrigued by all the lights and christmas music but im actually glad I didn't. I felt bad for the parents who had babies/toddlers and having to make their way through the crowd. I was getting pushed and squeezed through so I couldn't imagine having my son with me and having to do that. Maybe when he's a little older I will take him. It didn't feel as cold as it really was because the crowd of people and the body heat made it feel a lot better. The first thing I saw as i came off the train was a really cool light show. The light show happens every ten minutes so if you come in the middle of it or just missed it all together it starts over again every ten minutes.

The Christmas tree was so big! Its pretty cool seeing something in person that you've always just seen on a television screen. The skating rink was also by the tree but the wait is very long. I wanted to skate initially but the wait was a few hours and I definitely wasn't going to wait that long. Don't forget your cameras! The place is so lit up and has the cutest props to take pictures with from, angels, to huge life sized ornaments, Christmas toy soldiers and more!

If you get hungry or want some freshly made hot cocoa walk ten minutes down to Bryant park where they have tons of little food shops, another ice skating rink, and more festive decor. I would highly recommend going if your a tourist or even if you live in NYC.  If you decide to bring your young kids just be prepared for a huge crowd. I wouldn't recommend a stroller. Bring your camera and take lots of pics!  :)

Christmas Weekend Twinnie Style 🎅🏾🎄🎁

Christmas isn't Christmas without doing a Secret Santa with your Twinnie is it?  So maybe its not really a Secret Santa since we knew who was getting something for the other person but it was still fun not knowing what was being bought, lol. We started our day off with wine to cheers to friendship, Christmas, and our sleepover and began our day.

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to Jersey so we hopped on the train and went to the Hilton where they had a cute pool, restaurant, bar and was only 6 stops away on the train. I think Secret Santas are fun but I think its special to do it with a close friend because they know you more than a stranger would so they buy you what they know you'll use and what you like.
